The Xcaret at Night Show begins with a mystical journey into the past experiencing the ancient Mayan culture and our Mexican history as well. We will walk through the Valley of the Aromas towards the Grand Tlachco Theatre for the presentation of a colorful and spectacular show including groups of dancers, singers, and musicians - the best of our folkloric traditions including the recent attraction in Xcaret - the ball game with fireball or “Uárhukua” a ball game named by the Mayan as “Pok-ta-Pok” due to the sound made by the ball (the last ball court constructed by the Mayan was in the year of 590/600 B.C.) This game is of religious characteristics, still being practiced in the State of Michoacan; it represents an act of veneration to Kuricaveri God of Fire and main deity among the Púrhépecha people. The ball symbolizes the sun and the court the universe where the stars play. During the show dinner is served at Grand Tlachco.
